What are the benefits of seeing a chiropractor who is also a nurse practitioner?
You get a bigger-picture approach to pain care.
Dr. Matt Murdock is trained as both a chiropractor and a nurse practitioner. That means your care is not limited to adjustments alone.
Some conditions respond best to chiropractic care. Others need medical-level treatment, or a combination of both. Instead of bouncing between providers, your care is handled under one roof with a plan tailored to your body and your condition.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Yes. Chiropractic care is considered safe when performed by a licensed and experienced provider.
Every patient begins with a thorough evaluation to determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate. Techniques are chosen based on your condition, comfort level, and medical history.
If chiropractic care is not the right fit, you will be told. Safety always comes first.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit is about understanding your pain, not rushing you through an adjustment.
Before your appointment, intake forms are reviewed along with any MRI or X-ray reports you provide. During your visit, we listen, evaluate your condition, and perform a comprehensive assessment.
If needed, digital X-rays can be taken on-site and reviewed with you so you clearly understand what is going on. Treatment options are explained, and in many cases, care can begin the same day.
How many chiropractic visits will I need?
That depends on whether your pain is acute, chronic, or preventative.
Recent injuries often require more frequent visits at first. Chronic pain typically improves with weekly or bi-weekly care before tapering down. Many patients choose occasional maintenance visits to stay active and pain-free.
Your treatment plan is always personalized and adjusted as your body responds.
What is acupuncture and does it hurt?
Acupuncture uses very thin needles placed at specific points on the body to help reduce pain, calm the nervous system, and support healing.
Most people are surprised by how little it hurts. You may feel brief pressure or tingling that fades quickly. Many patients find acupuncture deeply relaxing and some fall asleep during treatment.
Do you accept insurance or offer cash options?
We accept cash, credit cards, HSA, and auto insurance.
We are not accepting commercial health insurance at this time. If you have questions about payment options, you can call us at (850) 822-3468 or send us a message and our team will help.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. You can schedule directly.
